Introduction

Beyond its magnificent natural spaces, cultural institutions and beloved destinations, Forest Park is home to a remarkable collection of statues, monuments and artworks positioned across the Park’s 1,371 acres. Together, these works tell a rich history of our region and provide Park visitors with a unique way to enjoy and learn about their surroundings.

As the organization that partners with the City of St. Louis to restore, sustain and maintain this great civic asset, Forest Park Forever is pleased to offer this special publication — available at in print at the Dennis & Judith Jones Visitor and Education Center and online at this website (both are free for readers). We take great pride in the work we do to preserve and enhance the Park, and we always enjoy the opportunity to educate the community about the incredible assets the Park holds.

Forest Park Forever would like to thank the Greater Saint Louis Community Foundation and the Trio Foundation of Saint Louis for their generous grants supporting this project, as well as the contributions of the volunteers and Park partners acknowledged toward the back of this publication.

We hope you enjoy this booklet and take it with you during your next walk in the Park — whether it's a print copy or this responsive digital version.
